This is an undertaking which was taken to create an online repository of knowledge for music production related content.
Convolva started as a music project in 2016. In the years that followed, the YouTube channel and Discord became places to share music production knowledge with everyone, and that work grew into a very important part of the project.
The name Convolva was inspired by the Convolution Theorem which I studied in Signals & Systems during my electrical and electronics engineering degree. I've always been curious about how waves behave, why things sound the way they do, and how electronic devices work. Making music gave that curiosity a creative direction.
Music gave me a sense of purpose when I was younger. Sharing what I make and what I learn is one way to give something back to the community that made that possible.
Convolva has always been more than just an artist profile. The blog is a place for production ideas, techniques, and tools that are worth explaining in more detail. It sits alongside the music as a resource for anyone who wants to learn and make their own work better.
